Wood Window Resource List

Preservation of original wood windows is one of the most important issues facing homeowners of vintage and historic homes in Mission Hills and other older communities in San Diego and across the country, especially with the proliferation of vinyl replacement windows.  Click here for a tip sheet from the National Trust for Historic Preservation which lists the reason for preserving and repairing original wood windows, instead of replacing them.  With this important issue in mind, we have assembled a Wood Window Resource List with contacts for tradesman who can repair and restore your wood windows, manufacturers of reproduction wood sashes and a salvage company for vintage window parts.
